Dirty Bed Linen And Lost Luggage. What you Don’t Want On Holiday
We have all been there, we save up for our annual holiday abroad, spend two weeks packing and unpacking our case, stocking up on sun tan lotion and insect repellent, then the day arrives and we wait excitedly at the airport. The big day comes about and then it starts. Your flight is delayed, the hotel is overbooked and you get moved to a second rate hostel, the weather is worse than at home and someone pinches all your euros. If, like me you decided to stay at home for your holiday this year, celebrate some of the holidays from hell that our smug colleagues, friends and neighbours boasted about before they left.
“Our holiday was going swimmingly until we arrived at our hotel. Our window faced onto a building site, the toilet was constantly blocked and the bed linen was covered in some very questionable stains. The couple staying there before us must have had a very good holiday, if you know what I mean.”
“We discovered that we had accidentally booked into a naturist hotel. My mother in law was not impressed.”
“The beginning and the end of our holiday was terrible. First our taxi was late picking us up so we missed our flight. We had to move hotel because our room had been overbooked and the replacement was second rate. When they found us a room there was only a single bed and a mattress on the floor. To top it all off, our bags ended up in Birmingham as we touched down in Manchester.”
“The island we were staying on was like a tropical paradise. The only problem was, it was infested with insects that crawled all over the beach, the sun beds, they got into the bedroom and bathroom and everywhere. If I never see another insect I will be happy.“
